We love the WOB style for summer! Bob hairstyles are a huge look this summer, especially considering the previous popular short styles worn by celebrities (i.e. Jennifer Lawrence, Kaley Cuoco). The casual benefits and low maintenance of this haircut is taking precedent over the long curls and bedhead hairstyles worn by so many women.
This season is all about showing off your best features. As the weather gets warmer and summer begins we are seeing a lot of bold print shorts paired with solid blouses. This trend really draws the eye to your legs. So if you got them, flaunt them! We are also seeing a lot of backless dresses and peek-a-boo lace dresses. These are really fun to show off a little skin without showing too much. Another trend that is hot this year are crop tops either paired with high waisted shorts or pencil skirts. This might not be for everyone but if you have the abs then go ahead and show off your midriff. Dresses are also the way to go to show off your feminine side and enjoy being a girly girl this summer.
A round brush is primarily used for styling and can be very effective. With so many choices on the market, it can be difficult to choose the correct one for your hair. With a round brush, you can straighten while maintaining body, create soft waves, and maximize volume.
Spring is upon us and so are the latest casual trends and styles for 2015. Change up your hairstyle with length this season. Longer locks are in, so let that bob grow and add texture and wave for a casual look or keep your long hair growing strong. Low key looks are making a big comeback which is great for people with minimal styling experience. Add “boho wave”, long pony tails, and braids of all kinds.
No matter what color service you’ve had performed, we recommend waiting 48 hours before washing your hair.
If you have had a service done with bleach, your hair is very fragile due to the high pH level of your hair during the bleach application (making it weak). Waiting 48 hours gives your hair time to return naturally to its original pH and allows any conditioning treatments done in the salon time to heal and repair your hair as well. With bleached hair we always recommend leave-in conditioning sprays to strengthen hair and color safe shampoos and conditioners to keep your hair healthy and color beautiful. Your stylist should be recommending additional products if your hair is in need of repair or moisture.
Hydrolyzed Silk Protein, also known as Silk Amino Acids or Sericin, is derived from one of the strongest natural fibers in the world. These jelly like proteins bind the tiny fibers in silk forming a crystalline protective barrier on the silk strands or in this case your hair strands. Silk protein is used to help prevent dehydration of the skin and hair by binding moisture, it help strengthen hair, improve hair’s elasticity, increases volume and shine, improves manageability and provides control to the hair.
If your hair is naturally red it is gorgeous. But sometimes we want to enhance or add to the reds in our hair so we might decide to add highlights. In some cases they seem to disappear literally from our hair over the course of a few weeks to months leaving us back where we started. This is not your stylist’s fault. The phaeomelanin (yellow/orange pigment) in your hair is shattered when you decolorize with bleach. Because of the amount of phaeomelanin in some redheads, these pigments actually come back together and the hair turns dark again. Lucky you; no retouches and your hair always looks great.
